Hyperspermia

What Is HyperSpermia? Symptoms, Causes, And Treatment

You might be oblivious to Hyperspermia, but it exists! It’s a rare disease that affects men – a survey reviewed that almost 4% of the entire population of men were diagnosed with this disease. However, there is an absence of factual scientific research on this disease!

But, what is Hyperspermia? Even though this disease isn’t terminal or deadly, it can still decrease your chances of conceiving a child. In this article, I will explain what Hyperspermia is, how can you be certain if you have it, what causes it, and what are the possible remedies.

What Is HyperSpermia?

Hyperspermia is a condition where a male ejaculates an unusually intense volume of seminal fluid, which can rise beyond 5.5 ml, whereas the average volume without the condition is 2-5 ml.

However, the complication occurs with patients who misjudge this as a sort of masculinity or asset, when it can have detrimental consequences. As such, patients with Hyperspermia experience an escalated sex drive in contrast to normal situations.

While Hyperspermia is disregarded as a mediocre disease, it can cause fertility problems if left untreated. Therefore, this disease needs to be taken seriously!

Symptoms

How would you know if you have Hyperspermia? Well, unless you don’t want to become a parent, it is advised that you diagnose yourself as soon as possible. It is always better to prevent something before it happens! Below are some symptoms that you need to be alert of;

Increased Sex-Drive Than Usual

If you sense that your sexual desires are going beyond your control, and are escalating more than usual, it is time that you see a doctor as the volume of seminal fluid in your body upsurges.

Pain During Ejaculation

If you undergo mild or severe pain during ejaculation, there’s a chance that you might have Hyperspermia. Apart from this, pain and aching in the genitals is a common symptom as well.

Change In The Colour

If you have Hyperspermia, your semen will be off-white or yellowish.

Fatigue

Hyperspermia could be convoyed by fatigue, dizziness, headaches, and lethargy, which will persist during the condition.

Difficulty In Breathing

If you are facing difficulties with breathing for a few seconds after ejaculation, you may have Hyperspermia.

Erectile Dysfunction

During this, the patients of Hyperspermia may confront obstacles to their sexual performance, such as the duration of sexual intercourse, which can result in poor erections over time.

Abnormal Volumes OF Semen

As mentioned above, it is obvious that a patient with Hyperspermia would discharge excess volumes of seminal fluid, which can decrease the sperm count over time.

Causes

Due to the disease being rare, there hasn’t been much research done on it. Therefore, there isn’t a specific cause for the disease, as we know. Although, there are a few causes which are conceivable for this issue;

Drug Abuse

If certain drugs are used overly, they can reduce the sperm count by making the seminal fluid dilute.

Extended Intervals Between Sexual Intercourse

Seminal fluid can escalate in the body if there are extended intervals between sexual intercourse, which can decrease sperm count.

Sexual Boosters

If pills and other items are used to boost sexual performance, the sperm count and semen level will be adversely influenced.

Infections

According to some doctors, an infection in the prostate can cause inflammation, which may cause Hyperspermia.

Over-Hydration:

It has been evident that men who overly consume water, or over-hydrate themselves have become victims to Hyperspermia since it dilutes the seminal fluid, thereby decreasing the sperm count.

Diet:

It is said that consuming food that is abundant in proteins, dietary fibers, and nutrients can increase the volume of seminal fluid.

Steroids:

Steroids do increase your muscular performance but at the cost of your sexual one!

Treatment

Hyperspermia isn’t lethal and doesn’t need treatment if there are no issues with fertilization. However, it’s always better to be safe than sorry! If you have to evade this disease, it is suggested that you avoid using any sexual-performance-enhancing drugs.

Albeit, if the excessive seminal discharge is causing issues beyond fertilization, it is advised that you consult a urologist. As an alternative to fertilization, doctors make use of the initial portion of the discharge, separate it, and then use that for insemination.

Besides this, medicines are available, which can increase your sperm count. A procedure, known as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), is used by doctors, where the sperm is extracted from the reproductive tract and then injected into the partner’s egg.

Conclusion

If you think that you have Hyperspermia, don’t take my word, consult a urologist as they will direct you better. Again, there is no need to panic – this isn’t a significant issue unless your partner complains or you experience agonizing symptoms.

However, if this is influencing your fertilization, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible. Also, any remedies or medicines should be approved by the doctor!
